First, pick a place where you are comfortable. If you are at ease, I will be. Don't try to figure out what will impress me. I am fine at the corner bar watching a football game. Don't pick an expensive place to meet me because you think I will like it. The worst feeling in the world is to be in an expensive place and the guy says, " Oh, order anything you want. I ate at home before I came".
I am not the girl who likes to plan a date or actually plans much of anything social. I like the guy to have a plan and execute - whatever it is. I am the one who looks at the menu forever. I even like for you to order for me.
And, a last word, remember respect and manners. If you never want to see me again, that is okay. But a "nice to meet you and a thank you" are always in good taste. Dating is hard enough. Being polite and kind go a long way. You can always learn something about yourself just by meeting someone new.
