I've been told I'm a rare soul, have an edge and an interesting outlook on life. I'm very passionate about everything I do, for me anything worth doing is worth doing well. Some words that describe my personality; thoughtful, creative, playful, detailed, smart, athletic, strong yet sweet and hard working. Friends might say, I've had an interesting life, am funny, care about others, (especially family and friends) have a talent for photographing children, work out a lot, have a good eye for design, have honest eyes and a positive outlook on life.
I'm an independent, progressive thinker and enjoy politics. I love Bill Maher because he's smart, clever and very funny (he might be a tad more liberal than me). Although I don't just watch or listen to liberal media, I happen to currently agree with most commentators but enjoy listening to all viewpoints and make my own decisions. I'm not perfect and don't assume you are either. I try to learn from experiences and don't mind criticism as long as it's constructive, I did go to California College of the Arts later in life. I like to learn, be challenged and improve. I seem to have a child like appreciation for seeing and learning from others and enjoy meeting people from all walks of life. I adore spending time with children and learn so much from them. I'm a giving person and love making people laugh and smile. I'm comfortable in all settings, I enjoy getting dressed up as much as hanging out at home.
People who have taken my spinning class have say I'm deceptive, look sweet with a soft touch (I never yell at) but am very tough. They say I'm like a fitness DJ and inspire them thru the music I choreograph. Originally I'm from a suburb outside of Detroit, Michigan. I love downtown Detroit and have a photo documentary of the city, modern minimalistic with a touch of warmth is my favorite. I love driving an appreciate good car design. I enjoy looking at all design in general and appreciate any style of architecture that is done well. I grew up playing and going to sporting events and naturally a huge fan of all Detroit/Michigan sports teams, even the Detroit Lions! I came out to Berkeley, CA to visit my brother over 15 years ago and just stayed. I do love living in the Bay Area for many reasons but have more of an east coast mentality. In retrospect, I wish I'd had the experience of living in NYC, but visiting works too.
I'm attracted to interesting, confident men with a sense of style who are driven and passionate about family, close friendships, work or a hobby/ cause. I respect cultured, well read men (arts, culture, politics) that believe and act on honesty, hard work, kindness, loyalty, success, street smarts, individuality and progressive thinking. I enjoy humor (somewhat dry or black humor) and love romance. I respect men who take care of themselves emotionally and physically. Being healthy is important to me, someone who is young at heart, fun and enjoys living a nice life style is a plus. I'm not a fan of facial hair but love hair on your head.
