I'm an easy going person who loves the country life, movies, books, sports, and relaxing... I love it all. I'm the girl you see driving down a back road with the windows down and the radio up and singing with the radio. The big city life is alright, but I was born and raised in the country. I can bait my own hook, change a flat tire, then turn around and cook you dinner. I may be country, but I appreciate good art, music, and intelligent conversations. I'm a nurse and I take my job seriously, but know how to have fun doing my job. One of my goals is to go overseas and put my nursing skills to use. I'm really interested in doing that instead of a regular vacation. Recently I have been considering PA school, but haven't made a decision yet. I think it would be fun. I love hanging out with my friends and their kids. I'm the favorite "aunt" to several. They always brighten my day and say the funniest stuff.
I have the best parents whom have been married for 35 years. They are an awesome example of what I want in a relationship. They aren't perfect but they love each other regardless. I enjoy hanging out with my sister and brother-in-law. We love going to our favorite mexican spot to eat. Speaking of food, I love thai food and sushi and I'll try any food at least once. I like to get up early especially if it involves going on a trip. Of course it may take me about 15 minutes before I'm awake enough to converse and not give you an unintentionally mean face.
I love movies and books... I have a bookcase full of each. Anything from romantic comedy to foreign films are on the bookcase. My taste in books is just as varied. I also enjoy taking my dog for a walk at the lake or around the neighborhood. I use to play softball in school and love to watch most sports. My favorite ACC team is Wake Forest University... Even though they haven't done well lately. I attended WFU for 2 years before switching majors to become a nurse. Photography is a hobby of mine. It paid the bills when I was in college and I still love it. I believe the right picture needs no words.
Lately, when I'm not at work you can find me volunteering at a local youth horse ranch. I get to work with kids from different backgrounds that are dealing with various problems. Also I help train/work horses and anything else that needs to be done. I love going trail riding on my horse Bandit. I've had him since I was about 14 yrs old and wouldn't trade him for the world. The barn is always a busy place. It's very exciting stuff. It is something I enjoy so much that I don't really consider it work. I can't wait for fall because fall weather is perfect for riding. I'm most comfortable in what we call "barn attire"... Boots, jeans, and a t-shirt. I like fixing things around the barn and house. If I don't know how to fix it I will watch someone fix it to learn.
So enough about me. What I'm looking for doesn't fit in a checklist. It's more of a feeling. I want someone that understands I'm independent at times. Someone that can just enjoy being together and has some common interests. I want someone who brings out the best in me and pushes me to be better. I will return the favor and support him. Honesty, loyalty, work ethic, and a sense of humor are qualities I look for in a potential mate. Hopefully you are similar to what I have mentioned. I am not perfect and I don't expect you to be perfect. I would like you to be there when I make mistakes to help me through them as I would be there for you.
