I'm sure I'm not the only one out here who gets the "How are you still single?" question constantly.
Do you get that too?
Well, I have my reasons. The big one--unlike most people, I am being responsible and deliberate in my choice. Love is great, but clearly it takes more than that to build and retain a life together. I want to make a good choice!
Also, I have been accomplishing things on my own professionally and academically, which has moved me around and made it difficult to have relationships sometimes.
Well, I just returned to Texas after 3 years in Washington, D.C. where I had some very interesting professional opportunities with major governmental offices. I need to slow down the pace to finish my doctoral dissertation, so I've moved home to do that and help with the care of my grandmother.
So now's a good time and place to find someone special to enjoy life with I think :)
A bit about what I'd love to find in a man:
1) Love of life--not being a couch potato watching others live it on tv instead.
2) Respectable character--honesty, altruism, reliability, devotion, work ethic, secure in himself
3) Attraction, chemistry, and laughter together
