Hi,
Let’s just say I need to get back on the bike. I recently divorced and am not sure what I'm looking for in terms of dating but what I do know is that I want to laugh again. My family and friends want me to put myself out there, so I’ll try to on here. Originally I’m from CA, I have a laid back, take life slowly CA attitude but I am still driven. Friends and family describe me as honest, caring, dependable, fun or full of joy, active, talkative, a people person who is outgoing. I am great friend and am especially lucky to be the mom of 2 great boys. In the past I have never had a problem getting a date but as I've been out of the game for 12 years I thought I'd try this site. I was not comfortable putting my picture up in the past on these sites because I was not ready.
So a little about myself: I was a high school teacher before I moved to CT. Currently I tutor but hope to go back to full time teaching next year when my sons are better situated. I love being around kids/students for they keep me young. My driven side though pushes me to further my career in administrative education as I had in CA. I believe my role in education was/is my calling but it has also allowed me the luxury to continually learn. Reading and researching is a hobby of my mine as well. In my life my greatest accomplishment would be gaining my masters degree in education and running a half marathon.
I am an active individual and in 2011, I became a runner. I ran Ragnar, a half marathon and did one of those crazy warrior races and have also combined my love of travel with running. I use to think the only reason to run was to chase a ball now I see the beauty and tranquility of my surroundings. I’m lucky to have many friends who also like to run so the social aspect of running with a group is great. I’d like to be able to share this with my partner as well. In the future I have my sights on a sprint tri or a marathon.
Music moves me and is one of my passions – I like to go dancing or to concerts - usually alternative (coldplay, shins, two door cinema club, jack white, wolfmother, keane, the sounds and many others). I love eighties music and funk/old school hip hop as well.
Some things I like: having a good glass of wine, drinking a good cup of coffee, listening to music, mtn biking or running with someone, dancing, eating ethnic food and traveling.
What would be great for a guy to have an interest in is: reading, music and dancing, travel, an active lifestyle and open communication.
