ABOUT HER & WHO SHE'S LOOKING FOR

Currently living in Alexandria, Old Town

Although living in the South, I grew up in Texas when Austin was still sleepy town, but about to explode into the little cosmopolis it now is. I worked hard in high school, graduating at the top of my class of 300, then rocked across town to the University of Texas. Along the way, I played hard, waterskied, danced late and glammed my way into being queen of the first Austin Aqua Festival. From U.T., I married my college boyfriend, a baseball player, who then signed a contract with the New York Mets. We enjoyed four years of gypsy-like living, returning to Chandler, OK., to help run a family-owned baseball camp. Well, two daughters and fifteen years later, that chapter ended. I left with my wonderful daughters, who become successful career women in the D.C. area.

But back to me. Several years of graduate school followed as I better prepared myself for work. In 1986, I moved to this island paradise (St.Simons Island, GA), where I've had a splendid live. I've sported around in my Alfa Romero convertible, found a few civil places to dance, and have driven to Jacksonville for symphonies.. Belonging to several social clubs has introduced me to the locals, primarily retirees from the N.E., and provided a full calendar of activities. While I'm not a religious fanatic, I regard my church as a welcome anchor in these tumultuous times.

My friends see me as a good conversationalist, compassionate, funny and they recently elected me president of our P.E.O chapter (an international group that supports education and women's studies). For exercise, I swim, belong to a club, ride my bike and walk. More than anything I enjoy traveling and returned recently from a month in Europe. The opportunities to study history, photograph the architecture and sketch were priceless. When I have an evening at home, I read (primarily fiction) and stay informed by reading the WSJ and the N.Y. Times

And now for the big question: what kind of man would I enjoy dating? He would be entertaining, have a quick wit, enjoy a good laugh and be open to new adventures. He would ask me to dance often, teach me one of his passions, and have many interesting friends. Shared interests would then serve as a bridge to simply enjoying each others company.

I recently decided to spend more of my time in the D.C. area. This will allow to enjoy my family. Also I'm hoping to find a gentleman from this area who wants to add a quality lady to his life: me

For the sake of honesty, I am really 3 years older than stated. But if I had told you that from the top, you might not have read this far and missed seeing what a vivacious and interesting person I am. Jump in, send me an email and let's see where it leads
