This is very new to me-- the whole getting online, talking about yourself with written words and meeting new people in an oddly informal way. However, I wish to make the best of it by being present, genuine and using good grammar.
A little about me...
I am an open-minded, nurturing soul. I admire truthful conversations, actions that are heartfelt, the continued journey of learning and appreciating the beauty of creative expression.
I have the most amazing friends that a girl could ask for. They ask that you be funny, conscientious and appreciative of hand knit items.
I am quite casual and laid back. You won't find me with a ton of makeup on and making a big production to "get ready". I am more comfortable in sneakers and a t-shirt but I do have the shoes for the occasional dress up.
I can handle myself on one plank, two planks or snowshoes and under the stars in a tent. I love some yoga and Pilates, and will join in any kind of pick up game should I have the right shoes on. However, I have not taken the time to learn how to fly fish. That is one thing that I would love to try out.
I will eat jelly beans and Twizzlers over chocolate any day.
I appreciate communication that is absent of derogatory, judgmental statements. I choose to express myself with language that is free from stereotyping, gender-racial-ability-sexuality bashing, and I expect the same from you. That said, I can curse from time to time. We are adults, right?
I have a good sense of humor and love to laugh like I am a little kid, but also find being an adult (a serious one at that) really interesting.
Documentary Sundays are my favorite day of the week. My Netflix account helps keep my eyes open and my mind fresh, and the queue is getting longer.
I don't truly believe the adage that "blondes have more fun", but I like to think I know how to genuinely appreciate the fun I have. Be it a big or small event.
Being creative is important to me. I express myself creatively in numerous ways. What do you do for your creative outlet?
I enjoy live music, theater, ballet, Red Rocks, the Bluebird, Nuggets or Rockies games, art walks and museums, the casual hike or bike ride, feeding the giraffes at Cheyenne Zoo. Listening to the laughter my little guy creates, or our chattering about Cars. Oh yes, that brings me to my most favorite thing:
I am a mom. Each day I strive to be a great parent to an awesome little boy, not out of duty but out of the passion I have to give love to this little guy. He is with me the majority of the time. So, yes, while my free time is sparse I will make the time for new friends and dating should the connections be right.
If anything above caught your attention, let's meet for a coffee or a cocktail and talk. I don't mind the email exchange that might need to occur as we take time to arrange our schedules, but meeting face to face is ideally what I am shooting for. But if you just want to say "Hi and good luck" I will appreciate those emails too! Thanks!
