I find it incredibly difficult to write a lot about myself in a cohesive way, so this is what I've come up with so far...
I have a really hard time walking right up to a person in a bar and talking to them. I can be really shy at first. I am trying this site because I think it might be easier to talk and get to know a person a little first.
I am looking for a person that I can have fun with and be myself around. I really love to explore, and want to find someone that wants to explore with me. I enjoy traveling whether it's to Vermont in the winter, the Cape in the summer or anywhere around Boston that I haven't discovered yet! I love California and my best friend lives there so I like to visit her at least once a year. I have been to Hawai'i twice- both times for school when I was in undergrad and it is definitely just as awesome as it seems!
I am happy going out with friends, or just staying home watching a movie. I love to laugh whether it is from a TV show or a funny joke. I really think being able to take the time out to have a good time and relax is important in anyone's life.
While I am easy going, I can be serious when I need to be. I am caring and supportive towards my friends and family and would always be someone that you could rely on. If you called me at 2:30 in the morning because you needed a ride, I wouldn't hesitate to help.
Music is one of my biggest passions. Though I don't play an instrument, I have always loved listening to all kinds of music. I really enjoy art as well, though I don't consider myself very good at it, I think it's fun. I especially like painting and drawing.
I went to school to be a teacher, and making a difference in the lives of others is something that is very important to me. I've just started a new job that I absolutely love working with middle school autistic students. It is very rewarding and the kids are awesome!
I love going to the gym- I know that's hard to believe! I go at least 5 times a week and it just makes me feel better when I am active. I also love being outdoors, whether it is hiking, biking, rollerblading or frisbee, does anyone else like frisbee anymore? I think it's awesome.
I've said as much as I can really think of for now- I guess I should say a little about who/what I'm looking for. I am just looking for a person that I can make a connection with. I want to go out and have fun, and be able to be relaxed and be myself...I think that is the most important thing. If you can't be yourself around someone then what's the point?
If any of this has seemed like something you can relate to, or you want to know more, I'd love to hear from you! :-)
