I am active and outgoing, no one has ever described me as shy. I find it fun to spend a day in the city, trying a new restaurant, going to a sporting event or street fest, or biking along the lakefront. Additionally, driving a few hours out to camp or hike is one of my favorite things to do, especially in the fall. Anything outdoors or offering an adrenaline rush interests me. About ten years ago I was infected by a travel bug and therefore plan to see the world, one city at a time. My most recent trips were to Australia, New Zealand, numerous countries in Europe, and Botswana. I find it fascinating to learn about the world around us and the people that live differently from myself.
My profession is an important part of who I am. As a high school guidance counselor, and I am rewarded each and everyday. Honestly, being around high school students keeps me young. In my free time, I work out and play tennis. Skiing is a relatively new one on my list. The outdoors is a place I feel comfortable. I also enjoy reading, watching movies, and am open to trying new things (at least once).
Spending time with my family and friends is a priority, as they are most important. I am so fortunate to have great relationships with my family members and to have them close by. My two year old niece is the one person that can always put a smile on my face.
Over the years, I have learned a lot about myself. I know that I am strong and independent, but can also make a great friend and partner. I am looking for someone who is open, honest, and has a good sense of self. Your profession does not matter as long as your choices make sense for you.
