I always want to be outside. I am at home in the mountains, but can find peace in many outdoor settings. Balance is the key to life. You can't always control the hand you are dealt, but you can control how you react to it. I believe in the law of attraction - you get what you give. The best way to improve my life is to improve the life of those around me. I appreciate laughter more than accomplishments, but I still like to get after it. Mishaps are only failures if you don't find a way to enjoy it. Go big, smile big! :)
Honesty, an insatiable appetitie for adventure, and a never ending sense of humor are what I admire most. I like people who feel good enough about who they are to be open and themselves in all situations. Good communication is the only way to have a solid relationship and issues are much easier to deal with when addressed head-on. Skiing is my first love (so don't even try to compete! :), but climbing, biking and hiking are great ways to spend the day. If it's outside I will probably enjoy it, although the climbing gym in winter is good to. A relationship with someone who doesn't love the mountains and the outdoors as much as I do would never work. I like mountain athletes that get after it, but don't take themselves to seriously. Playing under the full moon, sleeping outside in cool places, always thinking about what's next on "The List"are my passions.
Great food is always pleasurable and I love dinner parites with friends, or experiencing a great little restaurant. A much better way to get to know each other is by doing something active though. I don't take myself to seriously, neither should you. Intelligent conversations with someone who is aware of the world around them is a must. I have an engineering degree, but after several years as a programmer I decided the desk job life really didn't suit me or make me happy. I spent over a decade chasing my dreams of being a professional athlete for both skiing and mountain biking, filling my life with so many adventures and memories that are priceless. Now I want to find a relationship where we help each other chase our dreams together and enjoy the ride along the way no matter how bumpy, twisty or meandering it may seem.
