I'm active, fun, independent, loyal and kind. Friends and family are also very important to me. I'm looking for an active but low key person that shares my interests, challenges me, is a good balance and most important, makes me laugh!
I lived in Hungary, for a year after college, teaching English. It was a wonderful opportunity that I was lucky to have experienced. It fed my desire to travel more. I’m convinced that experiencing new places and cultures can only enrich your life and I would love to do more.
Aside from traveling more I’d also like to someday write a book, swim in a shark cage, chase a tornado, see an opera and maybe skydive.
I try to support local businesses as much as I can and think that chain stores are an unfortunate necessary evil.
I also love to support local music and listen to The Current and Cities 97. I’ve been to plenty arena shows but there is nothing like the smaller venues around town; from First Ave to Mayslacks. (PS. You get a point for knowing the local music reference to my username and extra props for admitting you googled it!)
I work in higher education and have a graduate degree but I don’t think education and lifelong learning has to always take form in an official degree; curiosity and a search for knowledge can manifest in many ways and that’s what’s most important.
I consider myself a modern and independent woman but I also don’t think chivalry is dead and truly appreciate those gestures!
I can also appreciate and enjoy the finer things in life but certainly don’t need it to be happy. I value my relationships more than material things.
Some qualities I strive for in myself and value in others: integrity, honesty, humility, gratitude, community engagement.
I would love to find a person who appreciates my independence but also values our time spent together and is an equal partner in nurturing that connection; a person who complements me, not completes me.
Thanks you for reading through my random thoughts! If you are you in a good place in your life and looking for someone to complement you, drop me a note…
