I'm super new to online dating, and have my reservations, but YOLO. I moved to Iowa for my job and have lived here about a year. I like it very much for many reasons, but it can be hard to meet like-minded people. I'm a born and bred Nebraskan but I have lived and worked in the Middle East and Australia. I don't subscribe to status quo, and I accept others' prerogative to do what they want. I can blend into any situation, but most of the time I probably stand out. I'm tall. I want a tall dude.
My family is my world and I hope to start one of my own eventually because I adore kids and would rather hang out with them over most adults. That said, I will never live the cookie-cutter life that many people think they should when they reach a certain age. I will always be me, I will always have fun, and I will always be learning about the world at large and how I fit into it.
I prefer to hang out with open-minded, creative types. I work in an artistic profession, and I'm a writer. I am often surrounded by opposites though, because I'm from a blue-collar background and I often want to experience both sides of the coin. I guess I have lived my life that way up until this point. This is how I've come to know what I'm made of and what I really need or want (those are not always the same, by the way).
What makes me smile? When the world winks at me. That could be a small child asking a ridiculously awesome question, a leaf falling into my lap, a song that makes me close my eyes and shake my head. Beauty in unsuspecting moments.
I'm not hoping to attract a narrow, specific type of person. The world is large, I think proportionate to that fact. I would like to meet someone who challenges me but wants to be with me all the time because we can't get enough of each other. We can't keep our hands off each other. I'm emotionally stable and I hope to meet someone who is an optimist and loves life and gets a kick out of just being crazy and pushing the limits.
While I'm a light-hearted, free spirit, I don't take matters of love lightly. I am loyal to the core and am searching for a partner with a backbone—a relationship to last. Basically, I just want to share all the wonderful things that I see going on around me. I want to make someone happy, do nice things for them. Touch their heart. I want to meet someone who will touch mine and show me that it isn't fleeting.
