I love sacastic (but not mean) humor, cooking/eating for/with friends or loved ones, and kicking your ass at cards or board games (but I'm not a TOTALLY unbearable winner--or sore loser.) Am good, low-key company; willing to try just about anything once; always (ok, usually) interested in learning something new; one of nine siblings (all of whom live far away, but with whom I am close and thanks to whom I have a crew of amazing nieces and nephews); always up for a good debate; and happiest outdoors. That said, NOT really a fan of winter; still not sure why I still live in this climate, except for an inescapable addiction to New England's mountains, forests, culture, people.
Am about eight months out of a ten-year marriage (definitely divorcing, just haven't finalized all of the legal stuff yet) and looking for friends/dates based on mutual interests--in live music, shows or dinners out, liberal politics, hiking or cross-country skiing, local (New England) history, gardening, yoga, dancing,, travel, movies, meditation and Buddhist philosphy, ecology, or literature--for starters. Am a sucker for "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me" and "Fresh Air" and "The Daily Show."
I live in the beautiful White Mountains (North Conway), but work frequently takes me to Portsmouth, NH; Portland, ME; and the Boston area.
Was a little afraid the photo would imply that I am some kind of lush, but since I am usually the person taking the picture rather than featured in the picture, my existing photo options were limited. Besides, the Ice Palace is damn cool!
