Me. Well, I'm a Mom of 2 beautiful & intelligent sons, ages 11 & 13. I've been a stay-at-home mom for 9 years now, roughly since my youngest was diagnosised with Autistim. I plan to stay at home, because that's what's best for my children.
I am, however, undergoing schooling at home. I am studying to be an author of children's literature; helping kids understand the positive and wondrous side of Autism through my fictional stories. Educating kids, & sometimes adults, to appreciate the differences in people, is something I strive to do.
I see myself as the "fun" Mom. We're the house everyone hangs out at. I have 2 birth sons, but many more that call me their "mom-friend. I'm honored to hold that title! I'll never turn away a hungry mouth or a request for a ride home. I'm a chronic jokester, but still get the respect afforded to adults. I'm a huge softie when it comes to kids & almost any animal?
I have a passion for cooking & grow vegetables & fruits, weather permitting. My boys & I love to go to movies. We're interested in almost any activity outdoors, but my favorite is whitewater rafting. Attending all my sons football, basketball & baseball games is an absolute must!
I'm active in my church & have my boys involved in youth groups there. I also volunteer at a local food bank. I believe everyone should be given respect, no matter their means.
