I am an outgoing and adventurous woman who lives in a world of possibilities and opportunities; overall I'm pretty optimistic! I thoroughly enjoy building relationships/friendships. I love my creator and know that he has made me a strong, confidant, bright, energetic, and passionate woman who lives in a world full of potential and promise! I try to look for joy in the midst of hardships and adventure in the simple everyday tasks and endeavors of life. I love to laugh and make others laugh ;0)
Trust, loyalty, joy, passion, love, commitment, humor, compassion, and faith are important qualities I am hoping to find in someone. I try to live with a sense of adventure, I love traveling (so far some favorites have been Peru, Jamaica, London, Vegas, DC, and more local hot spots include Chicago TC) and I can't wait for what future destinations await! Some of my "likes/interests" include (random list to follow:) cats, dogs, grilling, food (a bit of a foodie at times and love checking out local spots), photography, landscaping/gardening, sports (Go Griffins!), biking, and white wine (yum, such a fan now)! Life is a valuable gift and meant to be lived to the fullest and while I'm not sure what lies ahead, I am always excited, curious, and ready to live!
As an urban teacher I am able to daily use my passions and talents and can easily look back and see God's endless blessings in my life! I am certified in elementary ed, highly qualified secondary, endorsed in special education (learning disabilities) and currently in a masters program for ESL(teaching English as a Second Language). My goal is to be able to teach any child, anywhere God leads. I have had the privileged of teaching inner city high school students for three years and am now going on my second year in elementary. My job is my calling, my family and friends give me strength, and Christ is my life-force. Overall, I’m a pretty grounded gal and honestly I am pretty happy being a single woman, but yet there is a curiosity of when and/or where an opportunity may appear…?
