I believe in optimism and prefer to go with the flow rather than stress. I'd rather to be outside than behind a desk, and I feel most comfortable around water - its part of my life/work, coach, compete, boat, and just enjoying it :) Sundays are devoted to Football (forever and always a Redskin), but I enjoy almost all professional sports.
My family is the most important thing to me. They taught me to be genuine, find the positive and always have a sense of humor. I have a close knit family who all live in the DMV area, including my 2 younger sisters. They have also taught me the value of Jimmy Buffett - yes yes we are Parrotheads and we bring our own sand to jiffy lube!
I don't do well with silence, I love to talk and learn. I am fascinated by history and art, although I am not an artist. My Nikon is always by my side and i can get lost for hours on a trail, Ravens rock is of my favorite hikes in the area. I tend to be a thrill seeker and have the scars to prove it. Things can never be too cheesy and you should look for the person that always makes you feel comfortable in your own skin. I am an avid cook who, and yes grows my own herbs and shops at the farmers market. In my defense I love the atmosphere and it all started because one of the vendors carried honey crisp apples!
Communication is essential in any relationship. I don't get mad easily, I attribute patience to my job - its amazing what constantly being around teen-agers and kids will teach you. A laugh can fix anything and the more someone can laugh the more attractive they are, must also love outdoors and trying new food. Must love boats and I'll even wager with you how fast I can throw you off a tube :)
