Family, friends, and community are important to me. Material luxuries aren't a priority, though I do value financial security. I'm politically and religiously liberal. My goal: a life partner who shares these values. I'm very quiet initially, but once you get to know me...well, I'm still pretty quiet, but you'll discover that I have a wacky sense of humor and a lot of personality and affection. I do best with moderately talkative men: I like to listen better than I like to talk, but sometimes I want to talk, too. Being comfortable with silence at times is good. Words to describe me: Honest, sometimes to a fault. Good at backrubs! Loyal. Quiet. Independent. Hard working. Intelligent. I lead a somewhat unconventional lifestyle: I avoid debt and pay off my credit card every month. I don't turn on the tv very often--there's so much to do in the real world. On the other hand, I spend a lot of time on my computer. (Like right now...) I have no children but 1 very sweet cat. My BA in psychology has led naturally to a job in...computer programming.I'm looking for someone who is kind, open-minded, and respects boundaries. Someone who wants to take the time to get to know each other gradually, not rushing things too much. I have a great family, although, sadly, my siblings are scattered all over the western hemisphere. I enjoy opportunities to practice my Swedish--I might be able to convince you I'm fluent, unless you actually know the language! Shared values are important, but enough differences to fuel an occasional lively debate can be good too.
