I'm a grad student at LSU. My passion is preserving the oceans resources. The degree I am pursuing takes me off shore about every other month (weather pending) and being surrounded by salty blue water never ceases to move me. When I'm away from the ocean for too long i miss it. Before i moved to Louisiana I worked between Alaska, as a fisheries observer, and the Leeward Islands, as a dive instructor. I am passionate about fresh local food (which is one of the reason Louisiana is totally awesome).
I grew up in Northern California but have been jumping around since about 2007, taking jobs all over including The Seychelle Islands and Honduras. I have also traveled through Europe, Costa Rica, part of the Amazon, Thailand, Cambodia, and Peru. My old job allowed me lots of time off, not the story any more.
I love laughing and joking around. A good pun is probably my favorite, especially a bad ocean pun. Just hanging out on a porch with cold beer and good friends, is my favorite thing to do. I'll try just about anything once, especially if it gets me outside!
