I'm an independent, career-oriented and loyal woman. I'm also easygoing and I never sweat the small stuff. I'm happiest near the water in the sun. I enjoy learning and reading about history, and cooking healthy meals, but I also bake delicious cupcakes.
As a child, I could never colour between the lines. I was an athlete and a musician. I was horrible at math in high school, but excelled at computing in college (think algebra). I learned to SCUBA in the kelp forests off the coast of Vancouver Island, and toured Europe when I was 12 and played basketball in Czechoslovakia. My favourite television show was Dr. Snuggles, and my favourite toy was my Lite Brite.
Now, I am learning about home improvement, cooking, I like to play golf even though I'm terrible at it. I just learned to fish and think I might be obsessed, and I will read anything about the Civil War. I like to solve problems which suits my profession. I have a chocolate lab and find joy in taking her for walks, and taking her swimming. For a tall person, I'm horrible at running, but I'm determined to get better at it.
I have a fulfilling career, which is unrelated to my college diploma. I have a wonderful family, and I'm a complete sucker for my niece. I'd love to tour Canada, and see the Aurora Borealis in all its glory. I dream of going to Glacier National Park in both the US and Canada, and hope to snorkel with whale sharks some day.
I'm looking for a kind and compassionate man. Social graces are important to me, but so is a good sense of humour. I like to joke around and be silly. I'd like to have someone to fish with, to sit on a patio and people watch with, to hike in the conservation area with. The man I'm interested in would hold the door open for a person with their arms full, would let a motorist in front of them, would tip the overworked wait staff, and would make a silly face at a child to make him/her smile.
