Me: Smart, ambitious, fun and funny (there's a huge difference!) You: Has a pulse. Just kidding. (That's not a requirement...more of a "nice to have".) Cadavers welcome! I don't judge. So yes, I just joined this thing and I'm not sure what to write so here goes. I'm a great girl, and I'm looking to meet a great guy. My new best friend/confidante/partner in crime. Your mission should you choose to accept it, is to get me to stop speaking in cliche's. Haha just kidding....so yes, about Me. I play soccer a few nights a week, I heart comedy shows (stand up/improv), nature/"the great outdoors" and I've recently gotten into cooking. Well, to be honest, my cooking is kind of a culmination of all of the above....a comedy show, a stunning show of athleticism (as I race across my kitchen when I realize something is burning), and usually the aforementioned burnt item results in some nice fresh air as I open the windows to allow the smell of pan-seared plastic to waft out. So yes, I'm a work in progress. And I have a fire extinguisher. All bases are covered. When I'm not causing house fires, I'm a pretty laid back person who enjoys the simple things in life...taking my pooch to the dog park, long lingering chats with some wine and a fire pit (see a pattern here?), going upstate for the day to hike/go apple picking, and museums, zoos and aquariums are always fun. I have a coral reef tank which is where a lot of my time and money go. Extra points to you if you don't try to rename my clownfish to "Nemo". My life is generally happy and drama free (unless you count all that awful reality TV on my DVR). My family is still mostly local and we are pretty close. I have an interesting (to me at least...LOL) , stimulating job that I really enjoy and I can honestly say that I can't imagine myself doing anything else. (I work with computers so if I was born in the 1800s I'd probably be hopelessly unemployed or a gypsy...but luckily I haven't had to sell a kidney to pay my mortgage. Not yet at least!) But yes I really enjoy my job and Im happy in my chosen field. Let's be honest, I'm not rescuing kitties out of burning buildings or anything, but it's nice to do what you love and get paid for it. I love long island (I grew up here!) and I think there's so many fun things to do around here, from fishing to wineries to Adventureland (Did I mention I love roller coasters? ). If we get bored, there's always that overpopulated land mass a few miles west of here....Manhattan I think they call it? I would love to meet someone that's curious, interest-ED and interest-ING, and open to trying new things. We should definitely be able to get into lots of trouble together. There's definitely a lot of stuff on my "bucket list" and it'd be cool to have a new best friend with which to experience everything. I realize that last sentence was kinda awkward, but my dad was an English teacher and would never allow me to end a sentence in a preposition. Yea, it's like THAT. ("Ending a sentence in a preposition", by the way, is on my bucket list....right between "sky diving" and "see Aurora Borealis"....but I have to sky dive first!) Any takers? So yes, hopefully now you have a better idea of what I"m all about. Let the witty banter begin. P.S. I'm not really that bad of a cook. I just think it's a good example of how I'm always into trying new things, failing miserably at them, but keeping at it until the planets align and I master it. But I make a *MEAN* cupcake. Cupcakes = happiness. Any questions?
