After reading enough profiles that all sounded exactly the same, I decided to try something new. Yes, I could tell you that I like to go out, but also stay home for an evening. Or that I work hard and play hard. Doesn't everyone?
To help you get a sense of who I am and who I'm looking for, here are 10 things you should know about me (in no particular order):
1. I'm tall. Like 6'2" tall. And I still rock some killer heels. That means that I'm looking for a man who is confident enough to stand next to me.
2. I keep all of the books and magazines that I'm reading, along with my Kindle, under the spare pillow on my bed – arms-length from the optimal reading location: in bed, under the covers.
3. I'm that person you catch in their car, stopped at a traffic light and singing at the top of their lungs. 90s boy bands. Bone Thugs 'N Harmony. Opera. Country. 80s power ballads.
4. I love to cook, but I hate cleaning up. I'm currently accepting applications for a sous chef (and dishwasher).
5. I tell people that I color for a living. Well, sorta. I'm a brand manager ... part graphic designer (hence the "coloring"), part strategic business woman. Why pick just one side of my brain when I can use both?
6. Items currently on my Amazon wish list: jig saw, nail gun, sander, circular saw ... You see the pattern, right? I blame Pinterest for my DIY addiction. Oh, and the fact that I own a house.
7. Guilty pleasures: TV shows meant for teens, entire weekends spent in my pajamas, Tom Clancy movies (I love Jack Ryan).
8. I walk a fine line with possibly using too many emoticons. And I'm okay with that ;-)
9. Current favorite cocktail: Ciroq Red-Berry Vodka, on the rocks with a twist of lemon. Please note: this doesn't not mean I will turn down a cold beer or a glass of wine!
10. The right guy for me will understand what it means to "be Switzerland" in a given situation. Smart is sexy.
If you laughed, smiled or took an extra second to think about things, then I've accomplished my goal. And if you like what you see, definitely let me know :-)
