I am on Match because I have had multiple friends tell me about their success here. In college I was busy with swimming at UGA (pretty much a full time job), and I told myself I'd have more time to meet people in grad school. To some extent that proved true, yet I still found myself hanging out with a limited number of friends/classmates. There's some saying about finding love when you stop looking for it, but I'd rather not rely on serendipity any longer, so here I am. For now, I’m just looking to meet new people in a (relatively) new city, and see where that leads.
I came to Louisville to take a job as a spinal cord injury research PT. Not quite your typical setting for a physical therapist, but I'm very happy with my job, and feel that our rehab team has the potential to develop life-changing treatments for a devastating injury. Perhaps one day I will return to the world of sports injuries and knee replacements, but for now I am content with my path. That said, I am looking for someone who is passionate about his career (or soon-to-be career) and who is motivated to do well, but also understands the value of leaving work at the office. I am also interested in finding people who are down to earth, loyal, and easy-going.
Outside of work, I really enjoy spending time with friends, be it at someone's apartment, out at a brewery or bar, or hiking a trail. I don't go out much during the week, but I enjoy getting drinks on Fridays, and am usually up for a night out on Saturdays. If I had my pick, I'd most likely end up at a more chill/casual bar, but I can be talked into hitting up a club every once in a while. Can't say I'm the world's best dancer, but I try :) Family is very important to me, and I am looking for someone who values their family (and friends) as much as I do. It's so cliche, but in some ways I think laughter really is the best medicine, and it's important to have people around me that make me smile. I can be goofy and dorky sometimes, so forgive me if I start talking about science or anatomy, or tell some silly joke.
