If you were to ask my friends, I think they would describe me as hardworking, family oriented, fun loving and outgoing. I spend a lot of time working, but I love having free time for sports, fishing, water skiing, running, enjoying a cold beer and spending time with friends and family.
Football is my favorite sport and if I had all the time I wanted, I'd spend Saturday and Sunday watching every game. Unfortunately, I don't, but I never miss an Iowa State or Chicago Bears game, no mater what's happening. Thank goodness for smart phones and computers!
I'm a lawyer and very involved in politics (let the jokes begin). If you despise politics, I'm probably not the person for you. I don't do much campaign work anymore, but my job is very political and there's no avoiding it.
On the weekend you can sometimes find me at a local gun range. I'm not a great shot yet, but practice makes perfect! I'm also learning to golf, although I'm a better shot with a gun than with any club.
This year, for the first time, I'm volunteering with the high school youth group at my church. It's been a wonderful experience so far and I'm blessed to have this opportunity to help young people when they need it most.
I don't have any siblings but I have met some wonderful people over the years that I would consider as close to me as siblings would be. I have a goddaughter who I adore and I definitely want to have children some day. Most of my family lives in Iowa and we are all very close.
I'm looking for someone who has similar values, interests and goals in life. Someone who is ambitious and driven but also understands the importance of family and friends. I grew up in the south and believe chivalry is a wonderful quality for a man to have. If you like sports, fishing, the outdoors or politics, there's a good chance we'll have something in common to talk about.
