I love the outdoors and being active. In the winter I play in a few indoor tennis leagues. When the weather warms up I enjoy hiking and biking the trails. I love to spend my summer weekends on the water kayaking, canoeing, or just relaxing on the lake.
I also love to travel. I have visited nearly every state in the US and have even lived abroad. Since my daughter was born I have stayed in the States, but regular weekend trips to Milwaukee, Minneapolis & Chicago keep things interesting. I have a long list of places I would still like to explore!
I'm a big Hawkeye fan. However, I would much rather go to a game than watch one on tv. I'm always up for a trip to see the Brewer's in Milwaukee or the Cubs in Chicago. I love both teams because I have lived in both cities, but if they play each other I'll root for the Cubbies every time.
I have a 5 year old daughter, and being a good mom is my #1 priority. I try to always think of what is best for her in every decision I make. That includes maintaining a positive relationship with her dad. I know that isn't possible for everyone, but it is important to me, and very important to her.
I have a great career that I love, but I work to live. I don't live to work!
My newest adventure this year is cooking. I have been learning to cook vegan meals and experimenting with all kinds of fruits, veggies and grains, some of which I had never even heard of before. I don't have any plans to become vegan, but I do think a healthy lifestyle is important. And the food is really fantastic!
I hope to find someone who shares my interests and energy. A good match for me would be a confident man with an adventurous spirit, a great sense of humor and a kind heart. I'm looking for someone who really wants to find a best friend, not just a lover. At this stage in life, we have all experienced heartache and loss. If you've bounced back and still have an open heart and an open mind, I might like to get to know you. If you are aren't at that point, or you are just looking to play around, you aren't the one for me.
