It's so hard to write these profiles that Match has resorted to offering us ghost writers. Have you seen "Profile Pro"? A professional writer tries to grasp the "essence" of you in a minimum of 200 characters? I’ll admit, I gave it a try. Yes. I paid the fee (and I can just about hear the judgment in your voice). I thought maybe after answering 15 more questions, a totally objective, professional writer might be able to convey my personality with more accuracy and flair. While the writer did a good job with the information I gave her, some of the wording just wasn't ringing true to my personality. For instance, even though I think I do have a “bountiful soul,” I don’t know that I would have used that phrasing (very nice of her though). Anyway, life lessons learned: There is no easy way out; No cheating; Money can't buy everything (not even a dating profile). Thanks, Match. Anyway, to get to the heart of why you are still reading this...According to the Match professional and I, Yes. I am a responsible person. I have a good job. I know how lucky I am to have excellent friends and family. I love to eat, listen to music, travel, admire nature, and wave to dogs on the street. I want a capable, fun-loving guy, with a good soul. Yes. But, most importantly, I want a man who isn’t afraid to meet an “imperfect” person. I like to take naps that are longer than 20 minutes. I like to run with a partner in silence (I don’t know about you, but running and breathing is about all I can manage…talking is extra). I think being early is overrated, and that “on time” is just fine. I sometimes have cheese and crackers for dinner (and I like it). I find it hard to say “no” and often do more than my share (but I never really regret going the extra mile). I alternate between watching CNN and reality TV. I forget to drink enough water. There you have it. Not sure the Match writers would approve, but hey. It’s honest. Cheers to dating with an open mind…
