I enjoy a variety of activities. I love to be outdoors. I run a couple of times a week and enjoy rock climbing when I get a chance. Gardening has been a favorite thing to do in the past but I find it difficult living in a loft apartment. The management frowns on digging holes on the property. I enjoy horseback riding and skiing. Cooking has been a long time passion. When I had a garden I loved to go in the back yard and pick dinner. Now I go to the farmers' market and pretend I picked it. It's a close second.
I believe that travelling to far away places and experiencing other cultures allows us to put our own culture in perspective. I went to China this past summer. I was surprised to find that there are no egg rolls in China. I would like to go to Japan and see how sushi compares to the Americanized version. I suspect that cream cheese is not a common finding in Japanese sushi.
I have to admit that I am a little obsessed with swing dancing. It is so much fun. Surprisingly not a great place to meet men. I took a friend with me to a swing dance recently. At the end of the night she said, "congratulations, you have managed to find the most uneligible men in Winston-Salem." Oh, well. It's still fun.
I am a laid back person who rarely gets upset. I think that life is too short to get upset about trivial matters. I enjoy life and am looking for someone who thinks of life as an adventure. I am not sure about this online dating because I think it is strange to go on a date with someone that you know nothing about. In the past I have always been friends with someone before dating. But I have had several friends meet people through match. So here it goes...
