I am originally from WV, but VA has become my home. No, I am not a WVU fan - please don't ask. I love West Virginia, but Virginia has become my home. I never imagined that I would be living in Lynchburg, but here I am.
Growing up in a small town was wonderful. I had the best of both worlds. My hometown has a population of less than 3,000 people; yet, we could drive 15 minutes into the city and enjoy everything the city has to offer. This dichotomy has shaped my love of the country, but need for city life.
I am an only child, but my family is very important. While I do not have a large biological family, my "friend" family is huge and spread out all of the country. I love them all and keep in touch with each and everyone.
My apartment is filled with books. I love books of all kinds. I love a good mystery. I adore a mystery that is intertwined with history. Yes, I am a Dan Brown fan and I simply love Brad Meltzer. Of course, my love of the classics cannot be denied! Also, I love to collect cookbooks. The older and more worn the cookbook the greater the find!
Speaking of cookbooks, I simply love to cook. Of course, I hate doing dishes but that is what dishwashers are for, right? I love to cook and bake. For the most part I eat a homecooked meal every night. There is nothing like a meal that is hot from the oven. And, I have been told that my chocolate chip cookies are some of the best in the world!
