I have many interests and I love to explore new things and ideas; whether that be meeting a new person, trying a new restaurant or learning a new skill. I'm always up for the challenge. I think this stems from my parents who never put limits on my imagination and always encouraged me to try new things. At an early age my parents cultivated a love of art, music, and theater. By exposing me to music like Ottis Redding and Etta James, art like Banksy and Hopper and numerous stage productions, they have made me who I am today. Also through these experiences, I have met some of the most talented artists, musicians, and dancers and am lucky enough to call these people friends. On any given night my friends and I could; take in the ambiance at a trendy restaurant/bar, sit in a audience of a stage production, be screaming fans at a concert, or just jamming to music in the kitchen sipping a cocktail. I always try to get the most out of life and have a lot fun doing it.
I’ve always been a person that enjoys caring for others and with my career I get to do just that. I am a behavior specialist and work with individuals that have developmental disabilities. I try help them succeed in life and hope to make make their world just a little bit better. I enjoy working with my clients and although the work can be challenging, at the end of the day I can say I made a difference. No matter what is going on around me, I am always able to find excitement and beauty in the smallest places especially on the faces of my clients.
As far as what I am looking for, now that’s a little bit harder of a question to answer. I am one of those people that loves the uniqueness of a person and the qualities that make them who they are, so I wouldn’t want to limit that. However, I would like someone who is comfortable trying new things, like a new food, activity or culture. I think it’s only in trying everything that life has to offer that we can truly begin to define ourselves.
