I'm originally from Colorado and have been out here for a few years now. I like going out to the bars with friends, but I've gotten a little tired of meeting people that way, and so here I am! A little bit about me: I'm very into sports, both watching and playing. I'm partial to golf in summer and try to make it to the Nats games when I can. In winter you'll find me commuting back to Colorado for ski trips every few weekends. I'm not sure about skiing down a hill that you can drive to the top of, so I have yet to try out these "mountains" I've heard about on the East coast. I have an open mind though and could be persuaded to give it a go under the right circumstances. Fall, of course, is reserved for the Broncos. If you're a Raiders fan we should probably not try tor hang out. Steelers fans may be accepted on a case by case basis. ;-) Other than that, I like trying new restaurants, having some of the cultural experiences that are unique to the area, art, museums, happy hours, and a lot of the stereotypical kindof-new-to-DC things. I like getting dressed up and going out, but can also spend a night in with a movie and good company. I feel like just about everyone on here says they really like travelling, so at the risk of sounding repetitive: I also like travelling, and luckily I get to do a pretty good amount of it for my job. Please don't ask me about the Marriott rewards program...
I try to keep up to date on current events and enjoy talking about them. Surprisingly (or not... I guess it IS DC after all), I seem to meet the people who are REALLY passionate and can condense their position into a loud sound bite instead of having a conversation... Which is not really my style. Case in point: some random elderly gentleman dressed in full colonial garb recently told me I was going to "dance in the fires of Lucifer" because I said it's possible that not all government officials wake up in the morning intent on finding the quickest way to wreck the world. No joke.
A little about you: I'm looking for someone that I can get to know and have a great time with! Good communication and trust are key for me. I'm also a fan of knowing what you want out of life and not being afraid to go after it. All the pieces may not be in place yet, but it's nice to have some goals and direction and enjoy what you're doing.
