Hello! I’m looking for that someone that I can call my friend and the love of my life. As I get older I’ve realized that life is better when you spend it with someone. I desire to find that person that enjoys doing some of the things I do, but will introduce me to new things. Loyalty is very important to me, and I want someone that feels the same way. I'm a romantic and it would be nice if you carried a little of that romantic bug. :-)
Now that all the serious talk is out the way, I need you to know that there is a fun side to me. I love to travel and I treat myself to a new place each year for my birthday. Recently I went Costa Rica to practice my Spanish. Spain is on the agenda for this year! When I visit places I enjoy "walking through history". Being able to see things that have been in existence for hundreds or 1000s of years amazes me. My favorite place that I've traveled to so far has been Italy. It was amazing. I also enjoyed Scotland and would love to go back there. Other than traveling, I love to go out to eat, with my favorite being Italian food.
As for hobbies, I'm trying to get into photography. I love taking nature pictures and I would love to get really good at it. Another hobby is half marathons. I try to run/walk (more speed walking than running) a half marathon each year, sometimes two. I do it for the bling!! I just completed the Tinkerbell Half Marathon in California and I had a PR. I walked the entire thing and actually got faster as the race went on!
I love all kinds of music (R and B, Pop, Country, some alternative) but I rarely listen to rap. I love to sing, although it is usually off key, and don't ask me who sings a song because I will usually have no idea. :-) I just know what I like to hear.
I enjoy relaxing at home, but I'm trying to get out more and do different things. I recently made a career change so that I could be at home more in case I met that special someone.
Although I'm not a big sports fan, I'll always yell Roll Tide for my alma mater, THE University of Alabama. I'm more the intellectual type than the athlete. I'm currently in school working on my 3rd masters. This one is from NCSU, and I'm counting down the months (6 to go) before I am done!!!
