I don't take life TOO seriously. Which is probably why I like working with kids so much, they barely take anything seriously. I'm originally from the bay (Oakland to be exact) but have been living in LA for the past 9 years since I went to school here (Go Bruins). I think my heart will always be in the bay, but I'm enjoying life in LA. I am currently in a masters teaching credential program at UCLA. As of right now I am teaching an Algebra 2 and a Geometry class at a high school near downtown. Teaching is VERY challenging, but also probably the most rewarding thing I have ever done, and I still have a long way to go. I think deep down I always knew I wanted to teach. My first job was in middle school as a TA in a summer school program, and now I've been called up the big leagues (although the pay isn't nearly as good in this league). Past that, I want to travel more. Once I finish this program I plan on taking full advantage of my extended, non-denominational seasonal holidays. I like to go out just as much as I like to stay in. I like sports and I like video games. I like what I like and don't pigeon-hole myself into categories. Life's too short to be picky. If you are similarly everything without being any particular thing, then we just might be made for each other.
