I just moved to the Hudson Valley after finishing my masters in Rochester, NY. Meeting people around here has been harder than I imagined so I thought this might be a good way to do it.
I love to live life to its fullest and laugh a lot along the way. I enjoy the simple things and try to live a life that's not too complicated. I'm a rather independent person, but can't help to think that sharing life's adventures with another person can only enhance things.
I love adventure and want to travel the world someday. I'm always looking for ways to be spontaneous and enjoy impromptu road trips. I tend to get bored easily, so I like to have a lot of different projects going at the same time to keep my brain stimulated.
I love to be active and enjoy working out in any form. I'm an athlete and would love a partner to run/workout with or just go to the park and toss the football. I've also recently gotten into cycling after buying a road bike and have really enjoyed riding around the area so far.
Music is a large part of my life and I am very passionate about it. I'm currently working at Bard College as a teaching fellow in the Conservatory helping to establish their first percussion studio. I spend a lot of time practicing, rehearsing, and moving instruments but I love every moment of it and wouldn't trade my "work day" for anyone who has to sit in an office. Being a musician is really much more than a career to me, its a constant part of my life every minute of the day which is hard for some people to understand. Because of that, my schedule is hectic making it hard for me to get out and meet people.
When all is said and done, I'm a kind-hearted, passionate person with a quick whit who genuinely cares about the people she meets and I'm looking for someone with those similar qualities. Falling in love and adoring your spouse is certainly a beautiful thing, but more than anything I'm looking for someone who will challenge me and who I can learn from.
Oh yeah, I tend to have a lot of natural ability when it comes to pretty much anything, and I've been known to be slightly competitive!
