Taking it easy on the weekends is ok if you have an early morning or if you're sick but otherwise, my downtime comes on a rainy day or a really cold windy one. I'm usually outside biking, surfing, hitting a bikram yoga class or visiting nieces and nephews. And while I became spoiled from the incredible wineries in San Francisco, I have found a few treasures in Virginia. And you know what.. even if they aren't stellar wines, the atmosphere usually makes up for it.
I don't typically date guys who wear gold chains, are married or separated, who wear their hats backwards, still wear sweats, who are firmly planted on their couch every weekend, or who are religious or political zealots. I do go for guys with a wicked sense of humor (dry or overtly goofy--I'm open to any kind of laughter), ambitious but not complete work-a-holics, who know what NPR stands for, and who can read a map (because I can't and am not ashamed to admit it). Oh.. And, despite working at a high-level job for a global company, I say "dude", "stellar", "killer", and "totally" -- and they guys I date are OK with that :)
As for my closet.. I own designer dresses. I own t-shirts. I dress up in both. I'm down with cut-offs and flip flops but am also comfortable in sexy stilettos. I wear cool hats in the summertime and I think my North Face winter vest is the best invention on Earth.
Cooking is not my favorite thing in the world (I find recipes a wee bit high maintenance in general-- they are always asking for something else!) but I will try because making your partner happy is important, right? (Death by cooking.. Not so good.) I do clean super duper well though!!! And partnership is about recognizing and appreciating each other's strengths after all so why not set each other up for success? ;)
I know what I want and am super motivated in all aspects of my life. I love Bmore and DC for the treasures and personalities they both offer and am willing to drive there in a blink if it's for something I want (I worked in both cities for years)I am fortunate enough to have a successful career that supports my house and hobbies. Outside of all that stuff, I have just about everything a girl could ask for except for a loving, thoughtful, and respectful man who can see the fun in spending the rest of his life with a cool chick who can hold her own in sports and anything else you throw my way.
