Ok, I'm not used to writing about myself, and I've probably changed this 100 times. But what the hell, let's go for 101. I consider myself to be energetic, confident, and happy go lucky. There's not too much that brings me down. I enjoy a combination of social and physical activities, and quiet times of reading, watching movies, or playing games. I love a good joke, and am quick to laugh at myself. A good sense of humor is a must. Warning - I laugh at the worst jokes, and tell a few bad ones.
I'd like to believe I'm low maintenance. I don't like drama, I just want to have a good time. With me, what you see is what you get. I'm not into playing games or wasting someone's time. But, I do have expectations. I'm a lady and deserve to be treated like one. My family, friends, and work are very important to me. I'm very close to my family, even though they are very far away. Through them I learned to appreciate the values of gratitude, fairness, good manners, and accepting the people in your life for who they are.
Some of may favorite things to do are playing beach volleyball, hanging out by the ocean, fishing (even though I'm terrible at it) or sitting on my front porch with a good book and a glass of wine. In the winter time I tend to stick to indoor activities like racquetball, rummikub (kudos if you know what that game is!), and watching some of my favorite shows. I also enjoy creating things all year round. I run a small craft business out of my home and sell through local handmade shops. Working with my hands and staying involved in projects keeps me going. I'm very competitive, mostly against myself, and take pride in accomplishing things, and as such there's always something that I'm working on.
As a dance teacher I enjoy bringing a sense of self-confidence and accomplishment to women my age. Since I took it on two years ago I've become a healthier, happier, more confident person. It's the most fulfilling job I could ever think of and can't wait to own my own studio one day. I can't describe the feeling when I see women accomplish something they thought was impossible, or open up and become more confident in who they are. That's something that everyone should feel, and I feel lucky that they share that journey with me. I'm passionate about fitness and the benefits, physically, mentally, and emotionally, that being active provides, and want someone who takes care of themselves in the same way
Despite being divorced, I don't regret my marriage experience. I believe that everything happens in our lives to teach us something, and I cherish everything that being married has taught me about compromise, teamwork, and the importance of shared values. To me, life is a journey. Everyone has the same destination, but it's the route we take and with whom we share that journey that define us. Getting lost is an adventure
I'm looking for someone who has their life together. By that I mean has goals and values, and works to make things happen. I'm not a person who sits back and let's life walk by me. I enjoy someone who is passionate about what they do, does it well, and always works to be a better person. And I hope you like to cook because if you let me do it, we will probably starve, or live off salad
