I am a professional, with an education and a career, looking for the same. I've lived all over the US and beyond. I love to be outside and aim to move somewhere (far from Florida) with weather that allows for an outdoorsy lifestyle (sand / humidity - ugh!)... That said, I'm not rushing to move in with you! (just in case that was a concern)
I'm not interested in kids - anybody's kids.
Lots of folks "say" they travel and are outdoorsmen and then post 4 pics, all in an office. I travel. In the last 12months I've been to: E. TN, Michigan, central TN, VA, KY, OH, RI, Hawaii, Savannah, Indianapolis, Chicago, Philly, San Diego, Portland, OR, Pittsburgh, St Louis, and Memphis. I enjoyed my road trip in Nov along the bourbon distillery trail. I'm looking for a location to sip coffee outside when I wake up (without melting), swim laps in the sun, hike under a canopy of trees, and watch the sun set with a glass of wine without being carried off by mosquitos. I look forward to bundling up next to a campfire- I'm not allergic to the cold or snow!
I like to lap swimming - for about 1.5hrs at a time. What keeps you fit? (No-gym rats, please.) P90X involved too much standing around, and Insanity increased my ability to do his exercises. I really enjoy cooking/ baking. I love to "harvest" dinner from my garden and cook with fresh herbs, but there is an occassional donut or tiramisu. I don't believe in protien shakes or 100% nutirition bars. My part of Florida has way too many (college) sports fans, but not enough alumni. I love my Hokies, win/lose... it was a tough year. I'd like to watch more live baseball and football (in person), but for now, the nearest college/pro teams are at least a 3-5hr drive... and I can't stand those teams! just another reason to move/travel. I'm not tall enough to appreciate basketball.
I'm licensed to drive, vote, drink, ride a motorcycle, and fly a helicopter. I'm independent. I'm capable of squishing my own spiders (though, I'd love you to offer).
Smile. Angry pics tell me a little too much about your true personality. Please post pics that are 100% last-fling-free, not halfway in the image, that's just tacky. Your images are part of a first impression, yes, I'll read your profile. Are you interested in the concept of "living doing" not "living being"? One cushion in your couch should not be worn out more than the others. Being athletic does not mean you had to park further from the ice cream shop than you wanted- equally- being "slender" is not relevant to how you felt about your body concept last week. I hope you are a self starter and and don't need to be nudged to find adventure. Its okay to plan for an awesome trip.
If you're dealing with baggage, haven't figured out full time employment, or have never lived on your own; then, we are not going to be a match. A person older than 35 either has it together, or won't ever get it together. Be confident not cocky. College football is a must in the fall, but only good sportsmanship fans are invited.
