About me:
1. I'm very intelligent & quite the perfectionist-I was one of those in all AP classes, Beta Club, Dean's list, etc., & would beat myself up if I made less than an A. So, I'm very "book-smart", but do however lack a little in the common sense department. Basically I'm great with numbers, formulas, etc., but not so great with "street smarts".
2. I was born and raised in Ga, have lived here all my life & love that I'm a true Southerner, BUT, I absolutely despise most country music, contrary to the majority around here.
3. I'm very energetic, sometimes hyper, but in a fun way, not in an obnoxious way. I do like to exercise, but I'm not obsessed with it. Just like to stay active most of the time.
4. I have 3 amazing children, two girls 17 & 9, and a boy who's 13. I have primary custody, but they split time between their dad and me every other week.
5. I love music and singing. I started singing solos at church when I was two & have been singing at different functions ever since.
6. I love animals, esp. dogs. I have 2 papillons who are like my kids except they live with me full-time.
7. I am a Christian and I try to put God first in my life, but I am not a religious fanatic.
8. I'm a huge sports lover, esp baseball and football...Braves, UGA, & Falcons! It would take a dire emergency for me to miss watching a UGA game.
9. Other than sports, I don't watch much TV. But I will definitely chill on the couch to watch reruns of Golden Girls (love them!), Seinfeld (my kind of humor :), & an occasional movie, as long as it's not a "chick-flick"....boring! I love Star Wars (not Star Trek!), Harry Potter, along with horror, thriller, action, or comedy movie.
10. I have kind of a sarcasatic & slightly odd sense of humor (think Monty Pythons...cracks me up!) I can be pretty silly & goofy...probably comes from having to be extremely professional most of the time at work. My friends say I'm crazy, in an endearing way, not in the psychotic sense. I'm ok with that because I think it helps keep me from looking or acting my age. People are usually shocked when they find out I'm 39.
11. I have faced much adversity in my life, & have triumphed over all of it. I have become a much stronger person because of it, & have deveoped a much broader perspective of the world. I've learned not to judge people too quickly because you never know what they've endured in life.
12. I've learned that the only opinion about me that matters is my own.
About my match:
1. Not co-dependent...if you don't know what this word means, you should google it & if you find out you are indeed codependent, there's a great book you should read called "Codependent No More". ;)
2. Intelligent-correct grammar is always a plus.
3. A great conversationalist-if you can discuss things like politics, religion, pyschology, etc, with an open mind, you'll definitely engage me.
4. Loves sports! Not necessarily the same teams I like, but it would be nice to watch the games with someone who is as into them as I am.
5. Loves dogs!-If you are allergic to dogs (or any animal for that matter), we will not be a good match at all.
6.Stays fit and exercises regularly.
6. Not a must, but if you can play the guitar, that can melt my heart!
Things I am NOT interested is...someone who:
-is overweight. I take care of my body and expect my match to do the same.
-is much older or younger than the age range I'm interested in.
-believes that men are superior to women in any way whatsoever.
-is narrow-minded.
-is out for a one night stand. If that is what you are looking for, do NOT contact me!
-thinks you can develop a relationship before developing a strong friendship first. It doesn't work if you're not friends first.
-thinks it's ok to call me pet names when we first meet (like baby or babe). Creepy!!!
