It's not too complicated. I am a nice Italian girl from LI who enjoys the simple things in life (yes we're still out there), who just happens to be career oriented and self-sufficient. I enjoy traveling and experiencing new cultures (which makes coming home that much sweeter), cultivating friendships, and lately, working out (which I usually put off, but then feel so much better when I leave the gym). I'm a pretty direct, no BS person ... so honesty and transparency are things that I put a high value on.
I am not looking for someone to walk on the beach hand in hand with while watching the sun set. I'm looking for something, which I think is simple - a good guy, with strong values, a great sense of humor and who is confident and comfortable with himself. When in a relationship two-way communication to me is very important and so is trust and the ability to laugh at the world around us. I believe a true partnership consists of putting each other first and being each other's best friend.
I don't sky dive, climb mountains or do any extreme sports. I'm not a "scene" person (and anyone from LI who has been to some of the expensive restaurants on the North Shore on a Thursday night know exactly what I'm talking about), so while I enjoy going out, I also enjoy cooking dinner at home -- no harm in going the quiet route once and a while.
Romance and chivalry is key, so if your mom taught you to open doors and pull out chairs when with a lady, I'm already impressed. I also believe in love at first sight and it has nothing to do with looks - it's about the way a man talks, thinks and carrys himself ... the mind, after all, is our sexiest feature. As such, I don't have a type and usually ignore the generic questions on the "about me/my date" (frankly the income, education, wants kids ... Is really no ones business this early in the game). However, please be 100% single. If New York state thinks you're still married - so do I. Kinda of/Sort of married; taking a break from marriage; open marriage; separated but living in the same house; not quite ready to file yet is just a little too much drama for me.
Thank you for your time and good luck with your search.
