I never thought I'd join an online dating site, but after hearing a lot of positive things about it, I decided to give it a try. I'm a friendly, adventurous young woman looking for companionship, particularly with someone who shares some of my interests and can make me laugh.
I'm originally from Southern California, but I've lived in the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic for about eight years. In college, I studied print journalism and fine art, which eventually led me to photojournalism. Before moving to Ohio for graduate school, I worked as a freelance photographer in Washington, D.C., though I ended up doing the majority of my shooting in Appalachia, a region I have grown to love. I particularly enjoy photographing religious issues and fringe communities, which has introduced me to some really interesting people and cultures around the U.S.
I'm also crazy about traveling and exploring the country. I love road trips - so much so that for my winter vacation this year, I decided to drive from Ohio to California and back, stopping to visit friends and landmarks along the way. Similarly, I enjoy wandering around the outdoors - sometimes on snow skis, and sometimes just by foot. One of my absolute favorite spots to visit is White Sands National Monument in New Mexico.
Personality-wise, I can be somewhat shy at first, but I quickly warm up to people. I'm open-minded, curious, hardworking, and kind, and I will go out of my way to help others.
