In my free time, I love to experiment with new recipes. I enjoy cooking delicious, healthy meals for friends and family. Even though the meals are vegetarian I have managed to satisfy even the meatiest of meat-loving carnivores. I love going on culinary adventures either around the city or in far off lands. I try to spend as much time outside as possible either running, hiking, biking or just strolling around some beautiful landscapes. I am always looking for a new travel destination either close by or abroad.
I am originally from New York but moved to Boston in 2000 to become a zookeeper at the Franklin Park Zoo. I enjoyed every minute of my days (well maybe not every moment) working with the giraffes, zebras and lions but after four years I felt like I needed a change. I left Boston for almost 6 years to enjoy life in different lands and cultures. I spent a couple of years in Nicaragua living in a small farming community as a Peace Corps Volunteer and then several years living in a tropical paradise teaching English in Japan.
I have now been back in Boston for over two years (time sure flies) and am making a new life for myself. I have reconnected with friends from my past and have made a bunch of new friends. My first year back in Boston I spent getting my Masters in Elementary Education. I am now in my second year of teaching and am starting to get some confidence in my ability to expand young minds or at least try and make learning fun :-)
I am looking for someone who is laid-back and does not take life too seriously. I am also looking for someone with a bit of an adventurous side to go exploring with me. Once bitten by the travel bug, you can never go back.
