Hello and thanks for visiting my profile. I am a registered nurse. I work three twelve hour shifts per week and the twelve usually ends up to be close to fifteen hours so if I don't respond quickly, I apologize. Not being rude just usually have less than eight hours to get some sleep before the next shift. But good news is, I work hard to play hard. Burning the candle at both ends is a norm for me. After a few months, I usually take a week or two to just sit around the house working on projects or reading a good book. Great for down time and getting renewed. For the past six months I have worked on the Neuro unit so anything to do with the brain or spine comes to my floor. That's right, if there's shootings or accidents on the news and they didn't end up in ICU, then guess who sees them. Yep, yours truly. It can be a crazy 12 hours but I must be an adrenaline junkie because I'm still there.
I have three fabulous sons. (of course I am not bias) My oldest is married, no kids yet. My middle son is living with me (and his girlfriend and Beagle, Copper) until he buys a house, and I have a 13 year old going into the 8th grade this fall. Where does the time go? My boys are a big part of my life.
I have a yellow lab named Charlie. Watch out. Everyone loves Charlie so you have been warned. I had to put my chocolate lab, Sookie Stackhouse, to sleep in February. She had bone cancer. Anyone who has loved a dog knows what I went through:(
I love the summer. I like to go boating, walking on the beach, dancing, outdoor venues and anything around people. During the winter months I like to hibernate with a good book, great movies by the fire and really want to get back into skiing and winter vacations.
What am I looking for? Good question. I was in a two year relationship that ended last September. There was no communicating. He ended it, no talking, no discussing, no arguing. So, it left a sour taste in my mouth for starting again, but I think I am ready. I don't even know what my type is. Of course, physical attraction always opens doors but I'm not superficial. I love a guy that can make me laugh. So if you are cute and funny, then double win. I do like a well dressed man, meaning in all styles, whether it be shorts and t-shirt with CLEAN tennis shoes. lol or business suit or just polo and khakis. And I absolutely love a man that smells good.
