I am currently pursuing an advanced degree as a second-career student in addition to several dozen hobbies. I've been known to dance both in the car and while cooking dinner, get overzealous with the hot sauce, refuse to go to "girl nights" if the movie is a chick flick, and giggle easily.
I’m looking for someone who can have equally passionate discussions about articles in Scientific American as they would about Will Farrell characters and why breathing underwater would be the best superpower. I appreciate someone who knows the difference between there, their and they’re.
I like my fellow nerds: geeky like curious about the world/rockclimbing/National Geographic reading/NPR listening... not Dungeons and Dragons playing couch potatoes. I haven’t had cable in years and I don’t miss it. However, I am a firm believer in a comfy couch and a good movie now and then.
I tend to live an easy-going lifestyle but have plenty of ideas, hobbies and spontaneity: something I look for in a partner. I love trying new things and am a serial class-taker. I appreciate similar creativity in others. Living foreign for some period of time has always intrigued me and I would like to try it one day. I have traveled but not enough because I want to go EVERYWHERE!
Must like beer and books. Please be able to school me in some category. Intelligence is attractive! Please be ok with me schooling you in some area too- I have several random skills (One being a 50 ton boat captain's license.) Plus being different keeps things interesting. I have a fairly goofy sense of humor. If you take yourself very seriously and have a hard time finding something funny or positive when things don't go as planned, you may be annoyed by me:) I will surely make fun of your grumpy-ness.
If you don’t like to hike, climb, ski/ride, play volleyball or study- (which would absolutely make you weird) we may not see each other very often. I am open to trying what may be my new favorite activity though!
