I'm a midwest girl with a pacific northwest personality in DC for a few years but not yet firmly planted. I'm a sister, daughter, friend, volunteer, mentor, physician, triathlete; our titles should enrich us but not define us.
Random facts: I own a table saw (but admittedly it's at my parents' house). My roommate and I met on Craigslist (trusting? daring? flexible?). I make a mean cheesecake.
My best days are spent outside and active, usually with my black lab mutt. Swim, bike, run, ski, snowboard, soccer, hike, climb, camp...if it's outside, I'm game. Good days turn into great nights ranging from jazz in the park to the continual search for a new favorite restaurant to a movie at home with a fire and my dog.
Family is the greatest gift we're given. Five siblings so vastly different left me with no faith in genetics, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. Brilliant, sassy, hilarious, sarcastic, and occasionally dramatic. I love it. And I still have ice cream dates with my grandma; it keeps us both young.
