Before I share a little about me, I thought I’d give the definition of “Pecha Kucha.” This is a term I learned in one of my graduate courses that is Japanese for “chit chat.” Now that I’ve caught your attention, here is a little about me…
I am a big city girl that moved to Missouri close to a decade ago and love life in the heartland. I'm a little bit of a free spirit and try not to sweat the small stuff in life. My personality is outgoing, playful and happy. I often find the humor in life around me and mostly in myself as I don't always take either too seriously. I have a positive outlook and approach challenges with a "can do" mentality. My friends would say I'm a girly girl tomboy as I like all things sparkly as well as going to the gun range. I have a variety of interests from frequenting the theatre, symphony, art galleries, etc. to going to the movies, whole-in-the-wall restaurants and having game night with friends. I can go from jeans to evening gown and be equality comfortable in both settings.
I am a Christian and my faith is interwoven in every area of my life. I have a four year old child who brings me much joy. I'm a college educated professional and travel one to two nights a week for my job. I live a very active lifestyle and train at the gym 3 to 4 times a week, sometimes more if my schedule permits. I am training for my first powerlifting competition in June and have started practicing Capoeira, which is a Brazilian martial art form. I am both a right and left brain person as my career is in the medical science field, but my hobbies are more focused on the arts such as music and writing.
I am looking to get to know someone with shared interests, is like-minded, confident, self-sufficient, decisive, positive, kind and is also a follower of Christ. In terms of a serious relationship, my approach is more %u201Cslow and steady wins the race," rather than the "Fast and furious," "flash-in-the-pan," die-out-as-quickly-as-it-ignites kind of approach.
I'm open to meeting new people and am reserving judgment in regards to online dating and its validity. This being said, I will add that my past experience in dating has proven that my personality, as well as affinity for someone, has not been towards the indecisive, fearful, rigid, mean-spirited, critical, unambitious, and unmotivated type individual.
