I just informally polled a few friends, and here’s how they said they would describe me: caring, outdoorsy, generous, funny, loyal, smart, energetic, committed to helping people and the planet, “very witty,” creative, and interesting.
I see myself as a low-maintenance, one-suitcase-to-Europe kind of gal, comfortable in just about any place and situatios. I have a travel bug that I satisfy when I can (much better with a travel partner!), love to search out a remote trail or beach, walk cobblestone streets of a centuries-old town, or sit in a colorful plaza and soak it in. When I’m around home I really enjoy hiking (one of my favorite things in the world!), nice dinners out and shows, riding bikes, playing just about anything with my son, and hanging out with friends. Love silly jokes and laughing! And although my profile so far seems to be about what I like to "do," I also really like to not do a darn thing but chill out.
Friendships and loyalty are important to me; my "oldest" friends and I have journeyed together for more than 20 years. Some other things I value very highly: being a good – no, great! – mother to my son, enjoying the outdoors (hiking our amazingly beautiful forests, snowshoeing, biking, etc, etc), and making a positive difference in the world . I am blessed to have a career that I enjoy immensely. I have a strong spiritual side that I dedicated more time to in the past and am manifesting more time for again. As a person who is unabashedly liberal, especially when it comes to social issues, if you are a staunch conservative we probably have different values that would make us incompatible.
I am looking for someone that wants the same as me: a committed, long-term relationship where there is both chemistry and friendship. I look forward to traveling together, taking pleasure in the little things together, wanting the best for one another. The characteristics most important to me in a man: an easy-going attitude; generous and kind to others; affectionate!; loves to travel, and love of hiking/biking a big plus; and someone who thinks my son is awesome. Being funny is good too! Traits aside, the best relationships seem to have a generous dose of physical attraction combined with the priceless quality of enjoying one another’s company. WIll that be us?
