Hi there! My name is Cherie. I just moved to the GR area (Jan 2013) and am looking for fun people and open to something more if it is right. :-) I am so content and happy in life now, it would be great to share with it with someone. I have learned that you can tell a lot about people by the way they treat their family/friends and how close they are to them. Family (and friends) are incredibly important to me, and so is treating others with courtesy and respect. If you feel the same, that is an easy way to grab my attention and make me smile. Honestly? I am not on this thing for flings. With that being said, I am not one to jump into things super fast either and I like to take my time. I think starting off as friends is ideal and way more fun anyway. I could list millions of qualities that make up the ultimate "perfect" relationship and person, but even in a perfect world, that would be unfair of me. I am far from perfect and the last thing I want is perfection. Where's the fun in that? I want a friendship that can develop into something even more amazing in time. Someone who can make me think, make me laugh and make me feel safe, and I promise to do the same. I think the best thing that people (couples, friends, family, etc..) can do is be communicative and understanding of where each other is coming from. I confess that I like to make little funny, sweet sentimental gifts for those I adore or leave a note with an inside joke somewhere random because a life full of surprises is something I take pride in. To me, it's the simple things that mean the most: a walk on a beach, a good conversation over dinner, sitting through a thunderstorm, a night in on the couch, sneaking food into a theatre, a thoughtful gesture or note, holding hands, cuddling, writing ACTUAL letters in the postal mail, laughter...Life is too short to not find humor in things daily. I am not afraid to make a mistake but I tend to get embarrassed easily sometimes and my face turns red and I hate it. I really like to get things right the first time and be perfect at it, but experience has shown that I don't really have control over that. :-) I have always been attracted to men that can hold a conversation, are good to others, chivalrous and can throw the wit right back and even beat me at it. I get over things pretty quickly (unless you are really mean) and I hate dramatic scenes. I am a person of routine and would benefit from someone that helps me break away from that sometimes and has a kind of "go-with-the-flow/relaxed" demeanor. I also LOVE to try new things and learning new things, as long as you have patience with me. And be prepared to laugh at me, especially when it comes to coordinated movements. I am not looking for a complete party animal, but someone that has soul and a zest for life and wants to share it with others. Someone who can be himself and hold confidence in that. If anything, we can be good friends. I'm pretty cool I think. :-)
