Hi! I'm Gena. I live in a small town and teach at the high school I graduated from. I really enjoy the small town/rural lifestyle. It does make it a bit difficult to meet other singles around my age though. So, thought I'd give this a try. I enjoy larger cities as well. Lots of fun things to do and experience there. I'm a very caring individual with a bit of a spunky side (sometimes sarcastic)- confident and outgoing; kind, loyal, supportive, honest, independent, and down to earth. I believe that honesty, communication, and shared religious beliefs are the key to lasting relationships. I think it's important that a couple have some shared interests, but also have enough "space" to pursue some of their own interests/hobbies too. I do my best to support my family and friends. I'm told that I have a great laugh - that it's contagious. I am a happy/joyful individual. So, I've usually got a smile on my face and I love to use it to brighten the days of those around me. I love creating art and sharing that passion with my junior high and high school students.
I love a wide variety of activities and am open to trying new things. Some examples of things I like: dinner and a movie, going to football games, trips to zoos, museums, etc., amusement parks (rollercoasters are a blast!), concerts, plays, bowling, video games, etc. or just staying in for a quiet night at home. When the weather is nice, I like to be outside working in my garden, taking a walk, sitting on my porch enjoying a good book, or sometimes I'll go fishing with my dad. I think camping, motorcycle rides, and riding horses are fun. There's really not much that I don't like or am not willing to try.
My faith in Christ is very important to me. (I am certainly not perfect and do not expect those around me to be either. We all make mistakes.) I love serving at my small country church in the choir and leading Vacation Bible School in the summer. I am looking for a strong Christian guy to share my life with. Someone who can be my best friend, who is supportive of those closest to him - family, friends, etc. Someone who is caring, compassionate, a good communicator and listener.
