Hello! I was born and raised in Seattle, Washington, until I figured out Vitamin Sunshine was important to my wellbeing. I have spent most of my career in the medical field including studying Traditional Chinese Medicine/Acupuncture in the late 90's. After completing my acupuncture degree, I I moved to Tucson, AZ, briefly where I started an acupuncture clinic in a private facility. My personal life brought me to Charleston 10 years ago, whereby I subsequently attended graduate school at MUSC to become a nurse practitioner.
I am currently a homeowner but have over the years evaluated what is really important to me. I don't need a lot of material things and find that the time and money it takes to maintain, repair, and fix stuff takes time away from friends, travel, and downtime. Therefore, I have a goal to find a small tiny house with some land someday. While I can be spontaneous, I am a planner which includes financial planning now and for the future.
I chose not to have children for a number of reasons, most importantly, I didn't feel I could make the sacrifices necessary to raise happy, healthy kids. Now that I am older and more settled, if my partner had children, I would be interested in being involved in their lives in the right circumstances.
I am adventuresome, love learning and trying out new things; but I am just as happy to stay home and read, relax, or walk my dog. I am mostly an extrovert but need time for myself to rejuvenate. I work hard but I must have a balance of work and personal life when I leave the office. I enjoy being healthy and allot time for exercise 3-4 times/week. I am looking for someone who has a sense of humor, is a progressive thinker, as well as introspective. I am interested in someone who is relatively fit and interested in healthy living. You are able to balance life's demands while finding time to participate in a mutually fulfilling partnership.
