I am a laid back and outgoing girl. Right now I am just enjoying life with all the people that I love. I moved to Austin in 2005 to go to graduate school at UT and fell in love with the city and never want to leave.
I am all about family and friends, so I spend a lot of time with them. I have a great group of friends here in Austin that are like a 2nd family to me. We can be content with a low key pizza and movie night at someone's house or a night out on the town...just depends on our mood! My family lives in Waco, so I get to see them quite often which I love. I consider my older sister, Tonya, my best friend. I'm a huge animal lover as well and consider my pets, Punky and Bentley, members of the family.
I recently bought my first house, so I am currently enjoying being a first time homeowner. I am still in the process of turning it into my "perfect home" and love to tackle DIY home projects. I have to admit that I have discovered a handyman side of myself that I never knew I had.
I am a 3rd grade teacher in Pflugerville ISD. I do love my kids and feel very blessed to have a job that allows me to have fun on a daily basis. I also have my own business (with my sister and dad), so that keeps me busy when I'm not at school. It is something that I just got into in the last year or so and it has proved to be quite the adventure. It's totally random and hard to explain, so just ask me more!
I am one of those people that has to stay active and busy. During the school year, my job gets me pretty busy. I am also a member of the Austin Junior League so that allows me to volunteer regularly. I also stay busy by dominating with my champion ASSC bowling team (The Ninjas), going to the CrossFit gym, and running dates with my running partner. I don't feel like I ever spend my weekends exactly the same. One Saturday afternoon I might spend a lazy day at home watching reruns of Criminal Minds and Law and Order: SVU and the next Saturday I might be out taking a flying trapeze class or spending the night on the town. I don't make it to church every Sunday morning, but when I do I love going to Gateway because of it's very laid back atmosphere.
I definitely agree with the phrase "work hard, play hard" and I am looking for a hardworking guy that also knows how to have a good time. My family and friends are very dear to my heart, so I would like to meet a guy that also surrounds himself with good people. I am attracted to kind and outgoing guys.
