Online dating self-promotion is really rather embarrassing so let's get this over with as quicky as possible with as few "down to earth" and "low maintenance" references as possible.
Me:
I’m funny. Yes I’m funny– but everyone says that right? I’m more sarcastic than funny in the traditional sense. I also appreciate how funny life is and I laugh all the time, often inappropriately (like in church or when people fall down). I can make you laugh.
I’m surprising. I’m not easily categorized. I like the smell of the woods and Chanel, drinking beer and martinis, watching the Superbowl and the Oscars. I’m a princess in a family of men. I also have peculiar little traits including an encyclopedic knowledge of things like song lyrics, pop culture trivia, science fiction. I will keep you on your toes.
I am smart. I have a professional degree that I use everyday, I am great at a job I love. But more importantly I am "life smart". I can assemble IKEA furniture, pick an amazing wine off a wine list, and get us directions to a great restaurant in Paris - in French. I’m the MacGyver of girlfriends.
I am compassionate. I tip waitresses well, even the bad ones, because I was a waitress once and maybe she is having a bad day. I smile at strangers and truly believe that paying it forward is a requirement of humanity. I'm sensitive and completely OK with that.
You:
You are smart. You are curious and interested in the world and how things work. You teach me things I don’t know. You “have me on the run” during our conversations and leave me speechless. You are clever.
You have great family and friends. You like the people who raised you – you enjoy teasing your sister, brother, cousin, best friend over dinner. You are accepting and open - people come to you for advice. You are a good person.
You impress me. After spending the day with you I can’t wait to tell my best friend about the smart, funny, interesting thing you said. You bring out the best in me.
So if you think this describes you or something you might be looking for drop me a line because in the end maybe all you need to know is that I believe in love and adventure that comes with it!
