I recently relocated to Richmond, my home town, after living in NYC for 6 years. Dont worry, I still consider myself a southerner. I'm looking to start a new and permanent life in my favorite city.
I love traveling and taking weekend trips. Especially when they involve the water/ outdoors/ camping. I'd like to learn to hunt and fish. It seems like those skills would only add a greater dimension to one of my passions, cooking. Current pet projects include learning charcuterie, starting a canning business selling pickles and preserves and slowly working through the stock of Richmond restaurants new to me. Also, spending a lot of time at Hardywood.
I'm a huge sports fan. NFL is my favorite. The Packs my team. I love discovering new music. The richmond independent music station or NPR is my jam in the car.
I have started a food group in Richmond devoted to farm to table living and the slow food movement. Also, a RVA "culture" blog is in the works. I participated in a weekly Supper Club in New York. Id like to start one here with the right people. Food plays a huge role in my life. I wouldn't have it any other way.
I think long and hard about what I'm going to say next, am never the loudest person in the room, try to make everyone feel appreciated and welcome, never invite anyone into a messy apartment, hear that I act much older than my age.
I'm a preservationist and architectural conservator. Right now, I'm working part time for a developer who specializes in historic real estate but I am trying my hardest to make bigger and better things happen here!
